SBDigital is seeking an Email & Social Media Fellow to join our progressive political communications consulting firm. We provide a full range of digital communications services to a wide spectrum of clients throughout the progressive space. This is an excellent opportunity if you wish to write compelling email and social media content that engages progressives and mobilizes communities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist with multiple aspects of email campaigns, including drafting email copy, creating unique graphics, and managing email lists
- Assist with multiple aspects of social media programs, including researching and brainstorming content, managing monthly content calendars, drafting social media copy, creating graphics, and posting content to core platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Create online petitions and donation forms
- Regularly update NGP data
- Update weekly agendas, content calendars, and performance spreadsheets
Minimum Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in politics, digital communications, and social media
- Excellent writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain attention to detail while executing on tight timelines
- Able to effectively juggle multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing email or social media copy for a candidate, elected official, or organization
- Experience using an email management platform
- Experience with MailChimp, HootSuite, ActBlue, NGPVan, and/or Canva
- Experience with graphic design
This position is full-time and 100% remote. Fellows will be paid $20 per hour and may be considered for a full-time, salaried position at the conclusion of the fellowship.
